Waterlight Save Initiative Appoints Global Ambassadors to Champion the I-HEAL Framework and Drive Global Impact

Unveiling the I-HEAL Framework: A New Dawn in Inclusive Development
In a significant move to address global inequality and foster sustainable development, the Waterlight Save Initiative, a UN ECOSOC-accredited nonprofit, has launched its groundbreaking I-HEAL Framework. This visionary blueprint is designed to accelerate inclusive and sustainable development across Africa and the Global South. The launch comes as a prelude to the Second World Summit for Social Development, slated for November 4-5, 2025, in Doha, Qatar, where the I-HEAL event will be officially unveiled. What Does I-HEAL Stand For? I-HEAL encapsulates five pivotal pillars: Income, Health, Education, Access to Water, Living Standards, Forming an integrated approach to eradicating poverty and inequality. The Eight Strategic Pillars of the Framework Guided by a multidimensional vision of progress, I-HEAL relies on eight strategic pillars: Sustainable Livelihoods & Social Protection Climate Justice & Health Equity Digital Inclusion for Social Development Youth-Led Innovation for Social Change Community Resilience & Disaster Preparedness Migration, Mobility & Social Integration Gender Equity & Intersectional Justice Participatory Governance & Civic Engagement This holistic structure acknowledges that meaningful development cannot happen in silos — it must tackle interlinked challenges through community-led solutions. Why Now—and Why Africa? As Waterlight Save Initiative’s Founder and President, Dr. Prince Ero Ibhafidon, puts it: “I-HEAL is not just a framework. It is a movement. A call to action. A new development narrative where dignity, access, and opportunity are not privileges, but rights for all.” Africa, brimming with resilience, creativity, and leadership—not just in need—stands at the heart of this narrative. I-HEAL reframes the continent and its diaspora as architects of scalable, value-driven solutions, not passive recipients of aid. What to Expect at the Doha Summit The two-day I-HEAL Summit (November 4–5, 2025) promises to be transformative: High-level dialogues featuring diplomats, UN partners, and philanthropists Grassroots panel discussions spotlighting on-the-ground changemakers Innovation showcases led by youth startups Workshops on gender, digital equity, and migration Cultural exhibitions to bridge lived experiences with policy action This convergence aims to amplify marginalized voices, catalyze policy shifts, and advance the UN SDGs and the Doha Declaration on Social Development. World Water Day 2025: Dr. Ero Ibhafidon Urges Global Action for Glacier Preservation and Water Sustainability

World Water Day 2025: Dr. Ero Ibhafidon Speaks on Glacier Preservation and the Future of Water Sustainability On March 22, the world came together to observe World Water Day 2025, with this year’s theme, “Glacier Preservation,” shedding light on the critical role of glaciers in sustaining life and maintaining the water cycle. As climate change accelerates glacier melting, it threatens freshwater supplies, increases sea levels, and disrupts ecosystems worldwide. Dr. Ero Ibhafidon, the founder of the WaterLightSave Initiative, was invited by several media houses to share his expert insights on this pressing issue. During the interviews, he emphasized the urgent need for global action to protect our glaciers, explaining how their rapid decline affects water availability, weather patterns, and overall ecological balance. The Importance of Glacier Preservation Glaciers act as natural reservoirs, storing freshwater in solid form and releasing it gradually into rivers and lakes. Millions of people worldwide depend on this water for drinking, agriculture, and hydropower. However, rising global temperatures are causing glaciers to shrink at an alarming rate, leading to: •Water scarcity: Many regions, particularly those relying on glacial meltwater, face drought risks. •Rising sea levels: Melting glaciers contribute to ocean levels rising, threatening coastal communities. •Biodiversity loss: The disappearance of glacial ecosystems disrupts habitats for various species. Dr. Ero Ibhafidon’s Call to Action In his discussions, Dr. Ibhafidon highlighted key steps to mitigate glacier loss and protect freshwater resources: ✅ Sustainable water management to ensure the efficient and responsible use of water resources. ✅ Provision of potable water to rural areas in Africa, where access to clean drinking water remains a challenge. ✅ Public awareness and advocacy to educate communities and push for stronger environmental policies. Waterlight Save Initiative Calls for Global Action on Water and Sanitation at UN Conference

Waterlight Save Initiative Calls for Global Action on Water and Sanitation at UN Conference At the 2026 UN Water Conference in New York, the President of the Water LIGHTSAVE Initiative Ero Ibhafidon, emphasized the urgent need for resilient infrastructure, global partnerships, policy advocacy, and behavioral change to tackle the ongoing challenges of access to clean water and sanitation. In his address, he called for a public enlightenment campaign to educate communities on proper water usage and sanitation practices, highlighting that the conference presents a crucial opportunity to accelerate global efforts toward achieving Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6)—ensuring clean water and sanitation for all. “Water insecurity is a silent catastrophe,” he stated. “One in every three people lacks access to safe drinking water, and every two minutes, a child dies from a waterborne disease. Climate change is further exacerbating this crisis, drying up rivers and contaminating vital water sources.” The initiative stressed the importance of sustainable water management, urging world leaders, organizations, and stakeholders to prioritize long-term solutions. Recommendations included: 1. Investing in resilient water infrastructure to ensure reliable access to clean water. 2. Strengthening global partnerships to mobilize funding and expertise. 3. Advocating for policy reforms that promote equitable access to sanitation. 4. Encouraging behavioral change through hygiene education and water conservation efforts. As the world battles increasing water scarcity, the Water LIGHTSAVE Initiative reaffirmed its commitment to driving impactful change through collaborative action, innovation, and advocacy. The call to action is clear: immediate, collective efforts are required to prevent further crises and ensure a future where clean water is accessible to all.
Waterlight Save Initiative Advocates for Women’s Empowerment at the United Nations

Waterlight Save Initiative Advocates for Women’s Empowerment at the United Nations Dr. Ero Ibhafidon, President of the Water, Light, Save Initiative, recently advocated for women in underserved African communities during the informal consultation on the revitalization of the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. He addressed critical issues such as gender-based violence, insufficient education, and health hazards faced by women in Africa. Dr. Ibhafidon highlighted the persistent challenges faced by women, despite their significant contributions to social, economic, and political development. He emphasized the need for policies that focus on economic empowerment, such as supporting women entrepreneurship, improving access to financial resources, providing business training, and creating sustainable income opportunities. He also called for improved access to quality education, vocational training, and digital literacy programs to increase employment opportunities. Strengthening healthcare and reproductive rights was another priority, with a focus on expanding maternal and child healthcare, combating preventable diseases, and improving reproductive health services, especially in remote areas. Dr. Ibhafidon concluded by thanking the representatives of the Water, Light, Save Initiative and handing the floor to the representative of CFEM.
