Atlanta, GA – In a heartfelt effort to support Atlanta’s homeless community, Waterlight Save Initiative (WSI) hosted an outreach event today, October 26, 2024, at the Tent City encampment. The outreach, led by Dr. Prince Ero Ibhafidon, Founder and President of WSI, was part of the organization’s ongoing commitment to alleviate poverty, foster resilience, and extend a helping hand to underserved communities.
Providing Essential Support to the Homeless
With Dr. Ero Ibhafidon at the forefront, the Waterlight Save Initiative provided nutritious meals, essential relief items, and personal hygiene kits to hundreds of individuals facing homelessness in Atlanta. This event reflects WSI’s mission to uplift marginalized populations through tangible support and community engagement, fulfilling its larger vision of poverty alleviation and resilience building.
A Message of Compassion and Community
“Today’s outreach is a reminder of the power of community and the impact we can make when we extend compassion to those in need,” said Dr. Prince Ero Ibhafidon. “Homelessness is a complex issue that requires a multifaceted response, and at Waterlight Save Initiative, we believe in addressing these challenges head-on by offering immediate relief and long-term solutions.”
Relief Items Distributed by WSI Volunteers
The event featured a team of Waterlight Save Initiative volunteers and partners who distributed the following:
- meals
- blankets
- clothing
- hygiene products
and other essential items. By providing these resources, WSI aims to address both the immediate and ongoing needs of individuals living without secure housing.

With a commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly around reducing poverty and enhancing well-being, WSI continues to work closely with international partners including USAID and the United Nations to bring impactful solutions to vulnerable populations globally and domestically.
